About Us

For Drs. Andy and Marianne Baker, veterinary medicine has always been about more than medicine. For them, veterinary medicine has always been about the people, pets, and the communities they call home.

The Bakers’ journey began long before Bangor Veterinary Clinic existed. As a high school student, Dr. Marianne volunteered at Dr. Andy’s father’s practice in Paw Paw, where the two first met. Their shared love for animals and veterinary care carried them through college, marriage, and veterinary school at Michigan State.

After graduating in 1992, the Bakers opened their first practice, Gobles Veterinary Clinic, which grew quickly alongside their young family. By 1997, they saw another need: the town of Bangor had no local veterinary care. Families had to drive miles away for even the most basic services.

In 1997, Bangor Veterinary Clinic opened its doors. Bangor Veterinary Clinic was created to bring quality, compassionate veterinary care closer to home for the pets and people of Bangor. What began as a small extension of the Bakers’ vision soon became an essential part of the community, offering preventive care, wellness visits, spay/neuter, and surgeries in a friendly, small-town setting.

While specialized procedures such as orthopedic surgery, dental radiology, and ultrasound are performed at our sister clinic in Gobles, families at Bangor enjoy seamless access to those services while keeping their trusted connection with our local team.

For more than 25 years, Bangor Veterinary Clinic has remained true to the Bakers’ vision: a practice rooted in family, compassion, and community. From your puppy or kitten’s first exam to the comfort and care of their senior years, we’re honored to be part of every chapter in your pet’s life.
