More About Willie Nelson

Willie Nelson came to our clinic in the spring of 2025 as a three-month-old kitten. He had recently been adopted as a stray by a kind-hearted family. Sadly, shortly after bringing him home, their family dog bit Willie, breaking both one front leg and one back leg.

The family loved him, but with limited financial resources and facing the cost of two major orthopedic surgeries for a newly adopted stray kitten, they made the heartbreaking decision to pursue humane euthanasia.

Dr. Andy had recently lost his beloved cat to old age, and when he gently picked up this tiny black kitten—broken legs and all—Willie began to purr. In that moment, Dr. Andy knew this would not be the end of Willie’s story.

After two surgeries and months of careful healing, Willie’s injuries are now a distant memory. Today, he is Dr. Baker’s best buddy and official co-pilot, traveling back and forth between home and work, proudly perched on the center console.
